Nate Berkus is an American interior designer and product designer. Berkus runs the Chicago publications such as ELLE Décor, US Weekly, People, O Magazine, Lucky, InStyle and House Beautiful. In 2005, Berkus’s first book “Home Rules” was a New York Times Best Seller. In 2010, he became the host of his own weekday talk show, The Nate Berkus Show.
“I am honored to be selected as one of the designers chosen to participate in this fantastic charity. We really wanted our chair to be a culmination of the things we love: an antique textile and leather cording juxtaposed with a shot of a modern, vibrant color and a classic wool boucle. We treated the Swan chair as though it was going in our own home by making it feel chic, yet comfortable and well-assembled.”
Special thanks to Alberto Sanchez of A.S. Upholstery for upholstering the chair, Holland & Sherry for donating the Rosemary Hallgarten Double Boucle Alpaca fabric for the chair, Mete Mutlu owner of Yoruk Gallery for donating the antique textile for the pillow, Molly Quinlan owner of Eli Wyn Upholstery for making us the blue suede pillow, Greg Fishman of Fishman’s Fabrics for donating the textile for the suede pillow.
The proceeds for this item benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®
