Litchfield's Oliver Wolcott Library Annual Festival of Trees

When my friend and fellow ICFF mate, Kyra (of twenty2 fame) asked me to join a group of other designers in creating centerpieces using alternative materials, rather than fresh flowers, I was happy to support the cause. The Wolcott is a beautiful and historic library, one of the oldest in the country. The centerpieces were auctioned at the Festival of Trees, their yearly fundraiser.

I used stems of raw cotton bolls wrapped in my white Silk Primitivo rug and tied with leather lace.

Be sure to visit the Oliver Wolcott Library next time you're in Litchfield, CT.
