Favorite Things: Ethereal Vases by Brit Maya

I have another "Favorite Thing" from my London trip.  Ethereal vases by British designer Maya Selway, which are inspired by the sketches of Morandi.  Like me, Maya is influenced by the impermanent nature of the objects that surround us and the cycles of change that these objects go through.  And I love that she uses ethically produced and 100% recycled materials.



Favorite Things: Ristretto at Machiavelli

Anyone who knows me knows that I am always on the search for the perfect crema topped espresso, or preferably the super short ristretto.  My new favorite place in London is Machiavelli , which calls itself a "kitchen and dining room".  In addition to a perfect ristretto they offer a delicious breakfast, lunch and edible and non-edible goodies to buy. 

I also love how they have done their shelving, which you can write on.  I think this would be a great way to do an office or playroom.
