New Product/New Launch

In keeping with our commitment to produce eco-friendly products as well as support artists and the creative process, we are introducing the Alpaca Boucle and Suri Fur Pillow and the Felted Pillow, now in the new Limited Edition category on our website!

The Alpaca Boucle and Suri Fur Pillow is a chic combination of two of our bestselling pillows. These incredibly soft plush pillows are handcrafted in Peru using Suri fur remnants that would otherwise be discarded. The pillow's available in Chocolate Cube or White Stripes, as well as our custom boucle colors.

Each Felted Pillow in our Limited Edition category is unique and handmade by famed British textile designer Gloria Dale. Starting with balls of virgin merino lamb’s wool, Dale creates a one-of-a-kind felted pillow that is a true work of art and available only on our website.

Even Our Rug Pads Are Eco-Friendly

Since clients and showrooms are always asking us which pad to purchase for our rugs, I thought I'd share some information on the one that we recommend.

The Jade Green Rug Pad is made by Jade Industries exclusively for Chatalbash by Costikiyan. It's wonderfully eco-friendly since it's made from open cell all natural rubber and other renewable materials such as jute, a natural plant fiber. The pad contains no PVC's and is completely biodegradable. We've found that it lasts longer than other pads and makes for a sturdy foundation for our rugs. There's also less friction between the rugs and the pad, allowing for more rug stability. The Jade Green pads do not stain, mar or discolor flooring and can be easily vacuumed.

And best of all, in keeping with our commitment to be as friendly as possible to the environment - through a partnership between Costikiyan, Jade Industries and Trees for the Future - with every purchase of a Jade Green rug pad, a tree is planted in a developing country! Currently trees are being planted in India where deforestation and climate change have devastated many areas of the country.
